Favorite Quarantine Thing to Do: Backyard Camping!
BACKYARD, FRONT YARD, SIDE YARD CAMPING... OUR NEW FAVORITE QUARANTINE and SOCIAL DISTANCING THING TO DO!
We wait all year for summer so we can relax, enjoy the little things & go camping! This year has been a little bit different for all of us, but now we know that camping at home can be really, really fun! It has become our favorite thing to do for so many reasons!
When we found out we might be “stuck" at home a few months back, we scrambled around gathering arts and crafts supplies that we had on hand before heading out of our office to work from home. Hoping, but kind of knowing, that we were going to have a different kind of “limited time” on our hands, we started thinking about all the things we’d been wishing we had time to do! And YESSSS!!! Funking out our tent was right at the top of that list:)
We had a mix of really cool neon paints and markers and a few yards of some of our treasured vintage trims we have collected over the years. So, we pitched the tent and got going on it!
A few years back we used to paint the tent toppers for a lot of our tents at the Natural Life Music Festival, but we wanted to try something a little different this time. The festival tents were completely painted and had a graffiti look with lots of tassels hooked around the edges - definitely super cool! We were always in a hurry when we made the festival tents so decided to take a little more time on the camping tent - we sewed trims around the zipper door openings and along the awning and then just started painting scrolls and flowers until we literally ran out of paint! We made it feel cozy and cool and accessorized with more of our Natural Life favs like blankets, towels and rugs. It was soooo much fun! We highly recommend it!

Guess what else we have been doing?! We call it "The Natural Life family TENT SHARE"! We are passing our awesome tent around within the Natural Life family and it has been used as a backyard getaway for some, a she-shed for another, a kids fort for one of our busy #wfh work from home Mama's, and a temporary home office for someone else. And yes, we take all of the cleaning precautions between shares!
One of our customers commented and called our Natural Life tent a “fun, girlified tent!” Kind of like when it was trendy to bedazzle everything, we always say we have Natural Lifed or funked something out LOL!
