All the best days begin with coffee!
Not only is it the cutest French Press ever, but it also makes the BEST coffee! Here's how to make the best french press:
The secret is all in the grind! Make sure to choose a medium grind with consistency throughout. Very coarse grinds may clog the filter, and very fine grinds will pass through the filter, making your coffee muddy!
PREP: Boil desired amount of water. On a flat, non-slip surface, pull plunger straight up and out of the carafe.
ADD: Add ground coffee to the carafe.
POUR: Slowly pour the desired amount of almost-boiling water staying at least one inch below the rim.
STIR: Gently stir with a plastic or wooden utensil (metal may chip the glass).
STEEP: Set the lid on the carafe making sure the plunger is just below the surface of the water. Let steep for 4-5 minutes.
PRESS: Slowly press the plunger all the way down. If it stops, pull it out carefully, stir the coffee, and try again.
Coffee is best served immediately. If there is enough for a second cup, be sure to pour out remaining liquid, so it doesn't keep brewing! Enjoy!
How to Make Cold Brew Coffee:
- ADD: Place the grounds in the base of your French Press and cover with cold water. Don't push down your French Press plunger just yet.
- PLACE: Your French Press in a cold, dark place for 12-15 hours (we use our refrigerator).
- PUSH DOWN: Your plunger and pour over ice.
- ADD: Any extras like milk, creamer, flavorings or simply syrup!
