Thought You Might Like to See What You Can Make

This kit was fun to do! Not only did I make the items that were included, but I got to design three size large t-shirts, as well. Plus, I had almost a full bottle of green and navy blue left over. This was my first tie dye project since I was a Girl Scout! I soaked everything in soda ash before coloring and added urea (organic nitrogen) to the dye in order to ensure the color was deep and to help with the curing process. I waited almost 22 hours before rinsing the dye out. You'll have fun unwrapping each piece to see what each item looks like!

Thought You Might Like to See What You Can Make

I kept looking to see what people made with this kit, but there were no pictures. So, I thought you might like to see how many items this kit can make besides the socks, scrunchie, and bandeau it comes with. I got to make three t-shirts with this kit but really could have made one or two more. I still had almost all of the navy and green die left over after I was done. I hadn't tie dyed anything since I was in Girl Scouts years ago, so this was my first adult project. I soaked everything in soda ash before dying and added urea (organic nitrogen) to the dye to insure that the colors would be bright and the material would absorb the dye better. It worked! I'm really happy with the results. So much fun to unwrap your project after it cures!
